Raymond S. Petrusky

Raymond S. Petrusky, age 91, of Bancroft, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, July 15, 2023 at Our House Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
He was born March 19, 1932 in Bancroft the son of Andrew and Stella (Pionke) Petrusky. He married Anita Clark on September 26, 1959. she preceded him in death on February 18, 2018.
Ray was raised in the Bancroft area where he met the love of his life Anita Clark.  The two of them farmed for the next 58 years. He served his country in the United States Army from 1950-1953 where he was a cook. Raymond retired as a union cement finisher.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Plainfield and the Bancroft Lion's Club. His greatest enjoyment of all, was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed camping with his grandchildren, winters in Florida and special times with his family.  Ray was known for his gardening, making pickles and homemade popcorn.
Ray was survived by his children, Rick (Karin) Petrusky, Bancroft, Mark (Sandy) Petrusky, Plainfield, Annette (Wayne) Meddaugh, Bancroft, Amy (Chad) Matis, Marshfield; his grandchildren, Jaymi (Shannon) Ruffalo, Jolene Petrusky, Jennifer (Michael) Rotondo, Eric (Des) Petrusky, Taylor Petrusky, Sierra Petrusky, Jordan Meddaugh, Lane Meddaugh, Bailey Matis, and Carson Matis; and his 9 great grandchildren.  Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 6 brothers. Raymond was the youngest of 12.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 a.m. at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Plainfield. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery, Almond.  Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Stahl Funeral Home.
