Richard "Ricky" Paul Ammel

Richard P. “Ricky” Ammel , age 61, of Almond, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, January 24, 2016 at his home with his family.

He was born May 25, 1954 in Berlin, the son of Harvey and Kathleen (Mehne) Ammel.  He married Lorrie Rehwinkel on September 25, 1982.

Rick was employed at Donaldson’s Manufacturing for 23 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming, Allis-Chalmers tractors, anything Chevrolet, craigslist/ebay shopping, and the Packers.

He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Ammel, Almond; his loving children, Derrick (Morgan) Ammel and their daughter Nora;  Datonn (Trevor) Hanke; his brothers Larry (Cheryl) Ammel, Jerry (Julie) Ammel, John (Debbie) Ammel, and his sister Diane Ammel.  Rick is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many special friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Kathleen Ammel, his sister Ellen, and his brother-in-law Steve.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be submitted at www.plainfieldfuneralhome.com
