Robert H. Dehling, age 95, of Coloma, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Heartland House, Wautoma.
He was born September 10, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Harvey Dehling and Lydia Dehling(Hoffman). After school Bob enlisted in the US Army and served in the Korean war. He then went on and was a switchman working on the railroad in Adams,WI before he started Dehling Construction LLC. He married Ruth Dehling(Klabunde) on March 22, 1951. They then had their son Gary. Bob enjoyed going out to eat, his morning coffee and breakfast at the Royal Café and The Cabin Bar & Grill. I don’t think there was a time that you would run into Bob and he didn’t have his pipe in his mouth and was full of stories to tell and many laughs. Bob was one of the most kindest and most thoughtful men around. He took huge pride in his business and all his equipment throughout the years, and his farmhouse in Coloma where he ran his business. He enjoyed family time and time with friends, listening to country music and watching old shows on tv.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Dehling of 70 years, his daughter-in-law, Debbie Dehling of Coloma, his grandchildren Christopher Dehling of Coloma, Kristina Dehling (Mike Otto) of Coloma. His great grandchildren Brooke Debord, Adelyn Dehling, Treyten Roos, Maycee Bloss & Aspen Dehling-Otto. He is preceded in death by his parents, his in laws, and his son Gary Dehling (11-26-20), and many other relatives. Bob will be missed by so many, but he is now at rest and is back with his son Gary where they can talk all about digging ponds, and clearing land together.
