Robert Mcgregor

Biography

Robert W. McGregor, age 92, of Bancroft, passed away early Friday morning, May 21, 2010 at his daughters home in Bancroft.
He was born November 24, 1917 in Burns, WY., the son of James and Edna (Waltenburg) McGregor. He married LaVerne Lang on January 11, 1939 in Adams County. She preceded him in death on February 28, 2005.
He is survived by six children, Betty (Richard) Czlapinski, Plainfield, Julie (Lee) Keenlance, Almond, Alfred (Virginia) McGregor, Hancock, Larry (June) McGregor, Bancroft, Roy (Debbie) McGregor, Weslaco, TX., Debra (Ken) Wills, Bancroft; 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; two sisters, Stella Boyles Anderson and Clidie Spiess of Wisconsin Rapids; further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife LaVerne, he was preceded in death by three sons, Bobby, Dick and Dan and one brother James McGregor.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Sunday until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hancock Cemetery.
