Rose A. (Krutzik) Newman

Rose A. Newman passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 24th at Aspirus Hospital at the age of 76.  She was born July 13, 1948 in Sheboygan WI to John and Anna (Schicker) Krutzik.  Her family moved from Kiel to Plainfield in 1958 and this is where she would later meet and marry Gary L. Newman in 1968.  Gary and Rose remained living in Plainfield to work and raise their family.  Rose is a 1966 graduate of Tri-County High School in Plainfield.  After High School she held various jobs including waitressing at the Plainfield Truck Stop, delivering mail for the Plainfield post office and reading meters for the electric company before finding her full- time career at Consolidated Papers (Biron Division).  Rose dedicated nearly 32 years of working shift work at the mill until her retirement in 2013.  Rose enjoyed going to rummage sales and meeting up with her brothers at any local auction to see what kind of treasures they could find and who got the best deals!  She enjoyed time with family and always wanted to attend family gatherings to catch up on what was happening in everyone’s lives.

Rose is survived by her husband Gary L. Newman, her son Gary L. (Sande) Newman Jr, daughter’s Vicki Newman and Janet (Jason) Gold, her brother John (Mary) Krutzik, Grandson’s Andrew (Erin) Verhasselt, Tucker Johnston, Granddaughter’s Savannah (Cameron) Hernandez and Kaytlen Micke.  Step Grandchildren Brittany Gold, Dennessa Kohel, Tyler Kohel and Dylan Kohel.  Great Grandchildren Adelyn, Easton, Grayson and Sorah.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephew’s and their families that she cherished see grow up over the years!

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother’s Elmer (AL), Jerry, Marty, Robert (Bobby) and her sisters Esther Reineck, Ramilda (MIddi) Auclair and by her granddaughter Shantal Newman.

The family will be having a private gathering at a later date to celebrate the life of Rose.
