Roy J. Taubitz Jr.
December 3, 1950 — February 17, 2023
Roy J. Taubitz Jr . age 72, of Bancroft, passed away Friday morning, February 17, 2023 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born December 3, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Roy J. and Seloma (McClain) Taubitz Sr. He married Linda M. Ziaya on December 11, 1976 and enjoyed 46 years of marriage.
In 1955 Roy and his family moved to Plainfield where he and his siblings attended Tri-County Area Schools. As a teenager Roy started working for Parmount Farms for several years. He later worked at the Berlin Foundry until his retirement. Roy had many interests, especially working on cars, watching football and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Taubitz; his daughter, Kristin and grandson, Andrew; sister, Nancy Zuehlke, Coloma; brothers-in-law, Ray (Dawn) Ziaya and Larry Ziaya and Herb Warax; sister-in-law, Christine Ziaya of Plainfield; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving son, Joseph Taubitz in 2019; one sister, Sue Warax; four brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law, Cathy.
To honor Roy’s wishes cremation will take place and private family services will be held at a later date.
