Biography

Ruth A. Drew, age 90, of Wautoma, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 19, 1921 at Westfield, the daughter of William and Emma (Bartz) Mussey. She married John William Drew on May 10, 1941 at Waukon, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1980.
Ruth was a 1939 graduate of Coloma High School .She was employed for many years at the former Ben Franklin Dime Store in Wautoma. Ruth enjoyed being with her family especially preparing holiday meals. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and liked traveling with her sisters and taking trips to the casino. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wautoma where she taught Sunday School for many years. Ruth was adored by her family and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Passarelli, Wautoma; one son, Jack (Jennifer) Drew, Wautoma; grandchildren, Gina Passarelli, Kaukauna, Brenda Passarelli, Oshkosh, John (Tina Kubasta) Passarelli, Oshkosh, Michael (Jean Hines) Passarelli, Madison, Jana (Chad) Kropp, Neshkoro, Kyle Drew, Wautoma; two brothers-in-law, Joe Baggs, Grand Marsh, Bud (Irene) Drew, Hancock; special friends, Josephine Passarelli, Lohrville, Pearl Muske, Wautoma, and Barbara Wedde, Wautoma. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ira Mussey and Jack Mussey; four sisters, Mary Slowey, Tress Ploetz, Thelma Baggs, Madge Schatzka; her son-in-law, Eugene Passarelli, and by her in-laws, Roy and Mae Drew. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Wautoma with Rev. George J. Kafer officiating. Inurnment will be at Wautoma Union Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to Chaplain Pam and the staff of St. Agnes Hospice Hope for their compassionate care.
