Shirlee A. Baillod , age 78, of Hancock, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, March 4, 2024 at her home with her family at her side.

She was born December 21, 1945 in Berlin the daughter of Hilmer and June (Bender) Dudei. She married Henry “Hank” Baillod on November 7,1964. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2021. Shirlee was a lifelong resident of the Hancock/Plainfield area where she attended Tri-County Schools and graduated in 1964. Shirlee’s greatest love was family followed closely by nature and being outdoors. She will be fondly remembered for her “green thumb” and being owner of Granny’s Greenery. She ran the business with the help of Henry, and the rest of the family for 20 years. Shirlee was an active member of her small community, where she took pride in serving on the Hancock Library Board, PTA president and volunteered as a kindergarten aid. She was also a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Plainfield.

She is survived by her three children, Lance (Kim) Baillod, Lisa Rader and Logan Baillod; five grandchildren, Zachery Baillod, Christopher (Kendra) Rader, Steven Baillod, Kasey (Leighton) Bates and Courtney Baillod;  seven great grandchildren, Elijah Baillod, Zoey Baillod, Mariah Engle, Henry Rader, Shirleigh Rader, Izabellah Rader, and Abel Rader; siblings, Thomas Dudei, Julie (Rick) Beggs, Cindy (Chuck) Johnson, Douglas (Lorrie) Dudei, sisters-in law, Louise (Frank) Barnett, JoAnn (Dave) Seibel, Wendy (Mark) Stevens; further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

Preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law Madeline and James Callahan, Mother and Father, Hilmer and June Dudei, father and mother in-law, Henry and Mary Baillod,  grandparents and special family members.
