Stephani Jean (Buck) Spees

Beloved Stephani Jean Spees walked on October 12, 2022. Gifted to her parents,
Warren A. and Shirley J. Buck (nee Berndt), Stephani arrived on December 24, 1955.
She joined her brother, Peter H. and later embraced her sister Julia A. Buck.
Stephani grew and thrived in her hometown of Oshkosh.  In 1981, Stephani consented
to wed Marc W. Spees and they built a loving marriage.  They were blessed with children
Garth W., Samuel A. and Hannah L. Spees.  Stephani happily nurtured her family as
they grew and thrived.  She worked with agencies serving the developmentally disabled
where she shared her love and caring nature with her clients.
Stephani and Marc relocated to rural Plainfield in 2008.  There, she continued to share
her loving spirit and enjoy her pursuits of cooking, reading, puzzling, bird watching and
travel.  Stephani left the workforce in 2016.  As a lover of travel and always ready for the
next adventure, they joined friends in the Rocky Mountains when Marc retired in 2018.
They enjoyed gallivanting north and south across the divide together until November
2019.
While home in February 2020, Stephani was found to have metastatic gastro-intestinal
cancer.  An amazing, resilient woman, Stephani bore the weight of treatment with her
usual strength and grace.  She lived a fulfilling life every day and there were many
happy times.
As long as her husband Marc lives, so shall Stephani. She will live on in the
hearts and of her children Garth (Alex Nedd), Samuel (husband Mikey Rodriguez) and
Hannah (Derek Lambert).  Also left on the path are many friends and relatives including
her brother Peter, his wife Pamela and his son Marek Buck.  Stephani will be
remembered by her brother-in-law Eric A. Spees and his wife Jeanette.
Please memorialize Stephani with acts of love, kindness and remember her when
wearing her favorite color purple.  Many thanks to the staff of the Wachtel Cancer
Center and Compassus Hospice for their care.  Special thanks to Kate Pfaendtner for
her love and decades of friendship.
Please join Stephani's family for a celebration of her life at the Sky Club, 2202 Post
Road, Plover, WI at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022.  Lunch will follow a
