Turner “Red” Cheney, age 87, of rural Nekoosa, passed away Thursday evening, August 10, 2017 at his home.
He was born July 29, 1930 in Mississippi, the son of John and Bernice (Williams) Cheney. He married Mary A. Schneider.
Red was a fun-loving man who enjoyed telling jokes, spending time with family and friends. Red was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Plainfield.
He is survived by his wife Mary Cheney, Nekoosa; two daughters, Renee and Denise; his stepdaughters, Laurie Crum and Regina Combs; his brother, Bobby Cheney and sister, Peggy Cheney; further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Turner's name.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Plainfield with the Rev. Andrew Kurz officiating.
