Vernon O. Hall

Vernon O. Hall, age 68, of Plainfield, passed away Friday afternoon, September 30, 2016 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids after complications of lung cancer.

He was born June 9, 1948 in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of Gale and Nora (Sherman) Hall.  He married Janice Shepard on September 10, 1966.

Vernon attended Tri-County Schools and drove semi for 40 years, 35 of those years were with Plainfield Trucking.

Vernon enjoyed spending time with family and friends, deer hunting, going to the old car shows, fast cars and sitting on the front porch with his dog.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice Hall; one daughter, Vicki (Dale) Lorenz; one son, Jay (Christine) Hall; one granddaughter, Johanna Hall; one grandson, Max Lorenz; two sisters, Lois (Dale) Scott, Dee (Tom) Sullivan; one brother, Stan (Pat) Hall; his sisters-in-law, Yvonne Friday, Eloise (Dennis) Lobner, Christine (Pete) Beggs; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Glen and Gordon Hall.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Inurnment will be in the Plainfield Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
