Virgina Olkiewicz

Virginia Olkiewicz, age 78, of Wautoma passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at her home. She was born August 26, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Lauril L. and Elsie V. (Carlson) Mills. She married Alfred F. Olkiewicz on December 16, 1950 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2007. Virginia worked as a Production Supervisor for Mead Container in Chicago for a number of years. She and her late husband moved to their beloved home on Porters Lake in 1984 from Alsip, Illinois. Virginia loved her family and enjoyed the outdoors, especially the peacefulness of the lake. She is survived by her son, Alan (Catherine) Olkiewicz, Hartford; and by her three grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher and Joseph. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and by five brothers, Walter, Eugene, Sonny, Donald, and Leslie Mills.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma with Rev. Robert L. Stegmann officiating. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home in Wautoma.
