Virginia L. Hansen age 77, of Bancroft, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, November 25, 2021 at her home.
She was born July 22, 1944 in Westfield, the daughter of John and Tressie (Nelson) Courter. she married Jerry R. Hansen on November 12, 1960. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2021.
Virginia grew up in the Westfield area and moved to rural Bancroft after her marriage to Jerry. She later was employed at McCann Foods for 25 years until her retirement . Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her two children, Tom (Mary) Hansen, Michele (Troy) Heath; her daughter-in-law, Sarah Hansen; grandchildren, Jacob, Cami, Katrina (Austin), Jared (Heather), Jesse, Julie and Abby; her great grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Layliah, Connor and Bennett (Big Benny); her canine companion, Molly; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings; her son, David Hansen and granddaughter, Amanda Hansen.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 3 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
