Wayne G. Schwartzman

Wayne G. Schwartzman, age 83, of Hancock, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday afternoon, January 23, 2020 at Marshfield Hospital.
He was born November 10, 1936 in Merrill, Wisconsin the son of Wilbert and Ruby (Jensen) Schwartzman. He married Joan E. Scherbarth on November 25, 1954.
Wayne grew up on the Milwaukee area until moving to Wind Lake, WI where he worked at American Motors for 20 years. He later moved to Hancock in 1978 where he and Joan bought Goodwins Grocery Store. He then worked for the Village of Hancock until his retirement. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan E. Schwartzman, Hancock; his children, Denise “Dodi” (Fred) Graebel, Hancock, Wayne (Debbie) Schwartzman, Jr., Waukesha, Kerry (Anita) Schwartzman, Hancock; Jeff (Janine) Schwartzman, Hancock and Randy Schwartzman, Hancock, beloved dog, Lelo; his grandchildren, Kyle, Wendy, Karen, Amber, Jacob, Chase, Autumn, Brandi, Collin, Eric, Tyler, Brittani, Ashton and Hayden; 17 great-grandchildren; further survived by his siblings, Darlene (Frank) Nordmeyer, Linda Bartelt, one brother, Michael Hafenbrack; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Gene and Robert, 1 grandson, Kelly Wayne, two granddaughters, Kyleigh and Ezlyn and one brother, Bubba and two sisters, Nancy Lou and Judy Quaid.
