William A. “Billy B” Burmeister, age 57, longtime Wautoma business owner passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at his home. He was born November 11, 1953 in Berlin the son of Emil and Erma (Pilger) Burmeister. Billy was employed by Campbell Tree & Land Co. of Wautoma and also worked as a bartender at Camp Waushara on Silver Lake. He purchased the former Sags Inn of Wautoma in 1978 and renamed it Billy B’s. He was an active sponsor for Walleye’s for Tomorrow, Ducks Unlimited, Moles Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited along with many more.
Billy is survived by three brothers, Emil (Barbara) Burmeister, Berlin, Bob (Tiffany) Burmeister, Riverside, CA., Gary Burmeister, San Diego, CA.; four sisters, Judy (Dale) Yohn, Wild Rose, Connie Brown, Milwaukee, Ginger (John) Brown, Wild Rose, Taffy Burmeister (Joe), Wautoma; nieces and nephews, Craig Burmeister, Austin Burmeister, Wendy Covey, Ronald Yohn, Nichole Schultz, Ashlee Hobert, Michelle Moran, Robin Jones, Michael Henne, Daniel Henne, Sara Henne, Sally Henne, Amanda Henne, and Addison Reiser. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends, especially the Netzler family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leikness Funeral Home in Wautoma. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Wautoma.
