Married Lois (Hall) Johnson (Plainfield, WI) 2005. Stepdaughter Brenda (Gary) Woyak, step-grandchildren Brittany, Callyn and Nicholas.

U.S. Navy 1957-1987 Active duty 1957-1980, multiple tours i Vietnam War. Qualified in Submarines, serving both as Chief of the Boat (COB) on submarines and Command Master Chief. Retired Master Chief (E-9).
Sailed the Pacific Ocean for 12 years on sailboat CASINO with multiple trips ranging as far as New Zealand.
Awarded Associates of Business degree, 2000.
Enjoyed gardening, yardwork, reading and working with wood.
