Walker W. Wallner, age 88, of Brookfield, passed away November 26, 2015 at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.    He was born May 19, 1927 in Town of Almond, Portage County, the son of the late Anthony and Gladys (Walker) Wallner. He married Donna Rae Rathermel on June 18, 1955 at Highland Avenue Methodist Church in Milwaukee.    Mr. Wallner served his country in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. After serving his country, Walker was employed for 32 years at A.O. Smith Corporation. He was a certified welder starting in 1948, working his way into management as a Frame Production Line Supervisor from 1963 to 1980. He was a certified Assembly Division Welding Instructor, and a member of the AO Smith Senior Service Club.    In 1980 he retired from AO Smith and created Wallner Unlimited, where he specialized in engine rebuilding and metal fabrication. He was the Head Greens-keeper at the Elmbrook Soccer Club from 1981 until 1988.    He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Donna Rae Wallner, Brookfield; his son, Robert Walker (Lorry) Wallner, his loving grandsons, John Walker Wallner and Joseph Robert Wallner; his sisters, Elizabeth (Bill) Ingersoll, Jean (the late, Ellsworth) Barden, Loretta (Lowell) Detlor, Dorothy (the late, Ray) Helmrick, Carol (Donald) Klabunde; further survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Dorothy) Wallner and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Ellsworth Smith.    Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Inurnment will be in the Plainfield Cemetery. Family and friends may call 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.
